Tieto Cards granted ISO 9001:2008 certification in Latvia

The audit, which was performed by Bureau Veritas Certification, covered the processes for developing solutions for payment card issuing, acquiring and processing, as well as payment card system integration, consultancy and training.

The International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 9001:2008 specifies requirements for a quality management system where an organization needs to demonstrate its ability to provide product that meets customer and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements. Furthermore the aim is to enhance customer satisfaction through the effective application of the system.

Tietos Cards unit in Latvia develops the Tieto Card Suite, a payment card solution for issuing, acquiring, switching, clearing, settlement and fraud management. The solution is used by banks and payment card transaction processing centres in 30 countries worldwide.
