Standard Chartered launches Platinum Debit Card in India

Indian financial services provider Standard Chartered Bank launches its new Platinum Visa Debit Card targeted at affluent customers. The card aims to provide cardholders with a series of lifestyle benefits and access to various seasonal promotions such as holiday packages.

The card has a series of other features, among which a complementary Dining Plus privilege card which ensures discounts at various restaurants, hotels and resorts across India and the Middle East, a ‘zero surcharge’ feature available at all petrol stations across India, an enhanced daily limit of USD 4.100 (Rs. 200,000) and security features which protect cardholders in case their cards are lost or stolen.

Customers are also offered permanent access to Vida customer assistance centers, which can be accessed via toll-free telephone numbers, Platinum Visa Debit cardholders can access from abroad in case they need to report the loss of the card or require travel or medical assistance.

The card carries an annual fee of USD 16 (Rs799) and is available at Standard Chartered Bank branches throughout India.
