Sezzle activates Google Pay and Apple Pay, extending its reach into in-store retail

US-based instalment payments platform Sezzle has released its virtual card for shoppers, enabling them to pay by using interest free instalments both in-store and online.

According to the press release, the Sezzle Virtual Card will allow brick and mortar retailers that already support Apple Pay and Google Pay an easy way to offer Sezzle's Buy Now, Pay Later solution to their customers.  

Therefore, the Sezzle Virtual Card, powered by Marqeta, is launching on both Apple Pay and Google Pay, is enabling merchants to give their customers a flexible way to pay for in-store transactions by providing them the opportunity to split their purchases into four, interest free instalments paid out over six weeks. 

Furthermore, merchants enrolling in the programme can expect to have the service up and running within hours of setting up an account with Sezzle. Regarding consumers, at checkout, they simply tap their phone at the point-of-sale terminal, which activates the Sezzle card in their mobile wallet. 

Overall, the solution comes to support consumers – particularly Millennials and Gen Z shoppers – who are seeking out and giving their business to merchants across all sectors that offer Buy Now, Pay Later solutions at the checkout, especially during these uncertain economic times.
