Pelicans and Cardless release first co-branded credit card

Thursday 10 February 2022 12:27 CET | News

US-based professional basketball team New Orleans Pelicans has partnered with fintech Cardless to launch their first co-branded credit card, issued by First Electronic Bank.

The card allegedly comes with zero annual, foreign transaction, and late fees, while offering fans the possibility to earn loyalty points through each transaction. These loyalty points can be later exchanged for game tickets, statement credits, gift cards, and player-signed jerseys, as well as additional merchandise and experiences.

The new deal will allow fans to earn 4x points on Pelican tickets and receive a 10% off purchases at concession stands during games, and a store discount. Moreover, card holders will receive 30,000 points after spending their first USD 2,000 within the first three months of account opening, which totals to a USD 300 reward in statement credits or USD 375 in gift card redeems.

The co-branded Pelicans and Cardless credit card comes with a free mobile app that provides instant access to a mobile wallet and a virtual card number, among other features.
