Pekka Eloholma appointed President & CEO of Setec

Pekka Eloholma has been appointed President & CEO of the Finnish smart card company Setec with effect from 1st January 2004.

During the past three years Mr Eloholma has been the director responsible for Siemens Osakeyhtiö Groups ICT operations in Finland and the Baltic countries. He has also been a member of Board of Directors of Siemens Osakeyhtiö Group. Pekka Eloholma is delighted with his appointment as Setecs new President & CEO. He considers the companys future growth and internationalisation targets as a positive challenge. Siemens Osakeyhtiö Groups ICT business operations, which Mr Eloholma has been responsible for, cover fixed networks and mobile networks for telecom operators, IP-based voice and data systems for enterprises, mobile devices, and consultation and operational services of SAP systems. Before being appointed director of Siemens Osakeyhtiö Groups ICT business operations, Pekka Eloholma was the managing director of Siemens Business Services Oy in Finland. This company merged with Siemenss ICT business operations four years ago. Mr Eloholma was previously employed by Siemens Osakeyhtiö for seven years, one of which was spent in Germany. His earlier appointments include development director of telecom services with Helsinki Telephone Company and the managing director of FINNETCom Oy in Finland. Setecs present President & CEO, Mr Jyrki Lignell gave his notice to terminate his employment with Setec in early September. He will carry on attending to the duties of the President & CEO until the end of November.
