The wooden card will initially be available free of charge as part of the neon green product. The cherry wood on the card comes from sustainable cultivation in Austria and is produced without the use of chemical additives. The planned neon metal card will be one of the first cards in Europe and Switzerland to be made of full metal (front and back made of metal) and enable two-way contactless payment.
All other neon cards will also be made from recycled PVC in the future. neon offers an account solution as an app for all smartphones. After a digital registration process, neon customers get access to a bank account which is held with partner Hypothekarbank Lenzburg and offers deposit protection of up to CHF 100,000 per customer.
