Multidata is Denmark’s leading supplier of payroll services to the private sector. In order to achieve the highest level of security in data transmission within its online solution, Multidata selected an advanced smart card-based system developed in cooperation with PBS, the Danish electronic payment services specialist, and Setec Denmark, a leading European smart card supplier and partner of OMNIKEY. Multidata’s clients are forwarded a start-up pack containing an OMNIKEY CardMan 3121 USB or CardMan 3111 serial and a personal smart card from Setec, as well as detailed instructions on how to get started. OMNIKEY has already started to deliver 10,000 smart card readers to Multidata for this project. More than 28,000 clients are currently using Multidata’s Internet-based payroll processing and HRM solution, with an average increase in individual users of 1200 per month.
