IndusInd Bank, ElectraCard Services team up for foreign currency prepaid travel card

Indian financial institution IndusInd Bank has partnered with ElectraCard Services (ECS), a software provider for electronic payment systems, to launch a foreign currency prepaid travel card dubbed Indus Forex card.

Under the agreement, ECS is set to provide technology and processing services for the Forex foreign currency prepaid travel card.

Customers can use the Indus Forex card to withdraw cash from ATMs as well as to pay at merchant outlets. They can also track spends and check the balances. The card comes with a choice of single or paired card kit. This provides consumers with a back-up card, in case the primary card is damaged/ lost / stolen.

ECS is a subsidiary of Opus Software Solutions. ECS is a PCI DSS certified Third Party Processor (TPP) for MasterCard and Visa across the issuing and acquiring spectrum of the electronic payments business. The company allows financial institutions, retailers, finance companies and corporations to electronically process any type of payment transaction, including credit, debit, pre-paid, smart cards and ACH.
