HID Appoints Executive Vice President of Intellectual Property

Tam Hulusi, Ph.D., has joined HID as executive vice president of intellectual property.

In his new position, Hulusi will work to develop and expand the value of HIDs worldwide technology assets for customers and partners by optimizing the value-added component of current developments, and harnessing new technologies by bringing them into the marketplace. Hulusi reports will report directly to Denis Hébert, president of HID. Hulusi was previously president and board member of SMF Systems Technology Corporation, a government IT systems contractor. Before that, he was president and chief executive officer at Newmark Technology, an international wireless technology systems manufacturer. Hulisi has also held executive level positions at Honeywell International, Controls Division (formerly ADEMCO Group), Group 4 Securitas (International), and Centronics, Inc. A graduate of Harvard Business School, Hulusi earned his Ph.D. in physics from the University of Essex, United Kingdom, and his masters and bachelors degrees from the University of Sussex, United Kingdom.
