GSA Standardizes on Datakey Smart Card Technology For Employee Smart ID Badges

Datakey has been selected for delivery of its smart card technology to the US General Services Administration (GSA) as the foundation of the GSAs updated ID Program. Datakeys products were selected for their broad interoperability, strong security and user convenience. The GSA will use Datakeys client software and smart card products that comply with current US Government standards including the Government Smart Card - Interface Specification (GSC-IS). These products enable GSA to secure access to both physical facilities and computing resources with a single smart ID badge. Conformance with government standards ensures that the deployed solution will interoperate across all government agencies that adopt smart ID access solutions.
