GlobalPlatform selects board of directors for fiscal year 2009-2010

Director of Marketing at Datacard Group Sébastien Tormos will maintain his position as Chairman of the organization for the second year, while Marc Kekicheff, Senior Business Leader at Visa, will support Mr. Tormos as GlobalPlatform’s Vice Chair for his fifth consecutive term. Yves Moulart, Director of Development and Innovation within STMicroelectronics’ Smart Card Products, Secure Software Solutions Division, will hold the position of Secretary / Treasurer for the third year.

Individual members to serve as Board Officers have also been appointed. Mr. Tormos and Mr. Moulart were re-elected to serve a two-year term, together with Christoph Siegelin, Director of Marketing & Business Development, Financial Services and Retail Division at Gemalto; Christian Delporte, Vice-President, Head of Chip Engineering, Innovative Platforms at MasterCard and Sebastian Hans, Sun Microsystems Senior Standardization Manager.

The Board also re-elected GlobalPlatform’s Strategic Director, Shoji Taniguchi, Chief Marketing Specialist at Toshiba. He will be held responsible for positioning GlobalPlatform in Japanese and Asian government initiatives for the third consecutive year.
