Discover, Walmart extend network agreement

US direct banking and payment services company Discover has extended its multi-year network agreement with Walmart through 2015.

Under the terms of the renewed deal, Discover will continue to be the exclusive network for transactions made on the Walmart Discover card, which was launched in 2005 and is issued by GE Money bank.

Discover Financial Services operates the Discover card and offers personal and student loans, online savings accounts, certificates of deposit and money market accounts through its Discover Bank subsidiary. Its payment businesses include the Discover Network, the PULSE ATM/debit network and Diners Club International, a global payments network with acceptance in more than 185 countries and territories.
