Cantaloupe Systems releases wireless vending technology

Monday 10 May 2010 11:30 CET | News

US-based wireless and vending services provider Cantaloupe Systems has launched Seed Cashless, a wireless vending system set to enable consumers to make purchases from vending machines using their credit cards.

The Seed system monitors and reports all the purchases made at the vending machines over the internet. On the other hand, consumers can choose from a wider array of products that exceed the minimal USD 1 price barrier and pay for them by a credit card swipe.

Cantaloupe’s Seed Cashless will operate through its PCI-compliant Core Gateway to a processor. Current processing partners include First Data and Heartland Payment Systems.

The commercial launch of the Seed Cashless beta program has been scheduled for Q3 2010.
