Revolut unveils fast terminal in UK and Ireland

Revolut has introduced the Revolut Terminal in the UK and Ireland.

Pre-orders are available in the UK and will begin in Ireland in November 2024. The new POS device is designed for speed, allowing businesses to process payments quickly and meet the increasing demand for reliable POS solutions.

The Revolut Terminal aims to provide 99.9% platform uptime, ensuring continuous operation during peak periods. It features integrated WiFi and SIM connections and an all-day battery life, enabling payment processing at any time.

The device supports Revolut Pay, which allows Revolut customers to make payments directly from the Revolut app and earn loyalty points (RevPoints) in the process without any additional cost to merchants.

The Terminal is fully integrated with Revolut Business, providing businesses with access to funds within 24 hours. When combined with Revolut’s Point of Sale software, merchants can leverage advanced features such as analytics, table mapping, multi-location management, and customer catalogues, simplifying operations and expense management.

This launch comes as Revolut strengthens its B2B offerings, with a focus on the hospitality and retail sectors. The timing aligns with the upcoming high-demand retail season, positioning Revolut Terminal as a competitive POS solution for businesses preparing for increased customer traffic.

Revolut Business is an integral part of Revolut’s broader ecosystem, designed to simplify financial management for businesses of all sizes. Through Revolut Business, companies can access multi-currency accounts, automate payroll, handle invoicing, and track expenses, offering a significant advantage over traditional banking services.

The introduction of the Revolut Terminal complements this platform by expanding Revolut’s offerings into the physical retail and hospitality sectors. With the new POS device, businesses can accept payments quickly, optimise cash flow with rapid fund access, and gain valuable insights through advanced analytics.
