Cyveillance Strengthens Anti-Phishing Solution

Cyveillance has further strengthened its Cyveillance Anti-Phishing(TM) solution by incorporating behavioral analysis capabilities. With the ability to identify the way a web site is encoded, Cyveillance can now evaluate if a site poses a threat to its visitors based on whether it is configured to support pop-up windows, URL obfuscation, encrypted content, client-side re-directs, or phishing-related text hidden in images.

These unique capabilities complement and enhance Cyveillances existing anti-phishing technology that uses a combination of text-based, image-based and script-based methods to analyze a web site for phishing characteristics. By combining these different methods, Cyveillance can identify and stop sophisticated phishing attacks that most other solutions are unable to detect. Traditional anti-phishing solutions, employing either manual review or rudimentary text-based technology, lack the detailed insight or scalability required to truly identify phishing threats on a large scale. Manual review of phishing attacks simply does not provide the scalability needed to review billions of suspicious e-mail messages and web sites every day. Rudimentary text-based technology will not detect phishing attacks that leverage more sophisticated techniques coded into the site. Cyveillances adaptive technology approach combines its leading-edge behavioral analysis technology with traditional mechanisms to provide the most comprehensive and precise protection available. The Federal Trade Commission reports that identity theft now affects more than 10 million people every year. Cyveillance Anti-Phishing helps organizations to prevent, detect, respond and recover from online scams that mislead their customers through fraudulent use of their corporate identities.
