CRYPTOCards Follow-Me Computing Technology Now Available Through Tech Data

Tech Data Corporation will be offering its customers CRYPTOCards newly-developed CRYPTO-Server 6.1 authentication technology to make it simple for users to gain single sign-on access to a previously-started remote session at exactly the point at which it had been terminated - from any available computer. Developed in response to customer feedback requesting a simple and secure way for users to access work from any computer within a campus environment, CRYPTO-Server 6.1, which includes the innovative "Follow-Me Computing" functionality, enables a server-based computing (Citrix MetaFrame or Microsoft Terminal Services) user to simply insert their CRYPTOCard multi-function smart card or UB-1 USB dongle token, and enter their PIN, to start a remote single sign-on session. Then, after logging off by simply removing their authentication device, the user is free to reinsert their smart card or USB dongle token and enter their PIN at any other thick-client or thin-client terminal to resume the same session at exactly the point at which it was suspended (e.g. Cell D3, in a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet). The system can also be set by the administrator to lock the machine rather than simply logging off the user. By simply coupling "Follow-Me Computing" with the door access capability (HID or Mifare) of CRYPTOCards multi-function smart card users log off after every session in order to be able to travel around the campus - eliminating the considerable security risk associated with users leaving a computer logged on - particularly in the healthcare, government, and financial services sectors. Alternatively, CRYPTOCards newly-developed USB dongle token, that plugs straight into a computers USB port, enables Tech Data customers to provide users with smart card-like ease of use without having to purchase smart card readers. CRYPTO-Server 6.1s familiar ATM-style protocol makes it simple to positively authenticate all users attempting to access a VPN or Web-based system by coupling something in the users possession (a multi-function smart card, USB dongle token, hardware token, or software token), with something they know (their PIN). CRYPTO-Server 6.1 generates a one-time password for every log-on attempt, making stolen passwords/credentials useless to hackers while simultaneously eliminating the need for users to memorize complicated passwords - significantly reducing help-desk costs associated with resetting forgotten passwords, and the obvious security risk associated with users writing down their passwords. CRYPTO-Admin provides One-PIN-And-Youre-In access to the LAN (using CRYPTO-Logon), VPN (using CRYPTO-VPN), Web (using CRYPTO-Web), and Building access (supporting HID, or Mifare access control systems). Additionally, CRYPTO-Deploy makes it easy for security officers to add or delete a system user in seconds - making it simple to administer large user populations, Extranet partners, or others requiring temporary building or network access.
