Through this collaboration, Wix merges its platform to create and manage an online presence and commerce tools with Worldline’s integrated payment acceptance enabled by localised acquiring features to equip merchants with an all-in-one solution. The partnership is set to provide Worldline small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) with a platform that allows them to develop, manage, and expand their online presence while also supporting Wix users in accessing the company’s local payments and banking solutions to meet customer needs, demands, and expectations.
The decision to team up with Wix comes just a few days after Worldline announced a six-year extension of its alliance with KBC/CBC. Under the agreement, Worldline was set to continue to offer issuing and transaction processing solutions in Belgium, utilising its established portfolio of services. Also, the renewed partnership aligned with KBC’s development goals by centring on co-creation and adapting services to meet market and customer preferences.
As of the announcement, new and existing Worldline customers can access Wix’s platform to build and manage their online store with capabilities to assist several aspects of operations. Among them, the two companies mention product catalogue management, order fulfilment, inventory and invoice management, marketing tools, and booking management. At the same time, Wix customers can utilise Worldline’s payment solutions that support local card schemes to process transactions with customers’ preferred payment options, including credit, digital wallet, and local card schemes.
Furthermore, commenting on the partnership, representatives from Wix underlined that joining forces with Worldline enables both their company and the latter’s SMEs to gain access to an integrated commerce and payment solution. Merchants are set to be able to create the online store they picture implementing the features they want while also accepting local card schemes and payment solutions. Additionally, integrating Worldline’s localised online payment and acceptance solutions into Wix’s tools allows businesses to further optimise their payment processes and serve their customers that support domestic card schemes globally.
As detailed in the official press release, this agreement represents the first component of a collaborative and strategic initiative between Worldline and Wix, with it being available on a rolling basis in several countries and regions across Europe and Asia Pacific.
