Under the terms of the partnership, Equinox is set to be able to provide a mobile payment solution that is compatible with Apple iOS by integrating IPC’s Linea Pro for the iPod touch or iPhone or the Infinea Tab for the iPad.
Equipped with a barcode scanner and a magnetic stripe reader, both the Linea Pro and Infinea Tab work with custom software to create a mobile system for POS, as well as inventory management, asset tracking, ID verification and lead tracking.
Moreover, IPC is set to be able to provide its customers with remote key injection capabilities on its POS-related devices, using the Equinox Remote Key Injection (RKI) platform.
Customers are able to set up and manage key injection via the Equinox RKI web portal. Remote key injection for IPC POS devices are set to be made available in 2014.
In recent news, Infinite Peripherals (IPC) has launched the Infinea Tab M, an MFi-certified mPOS device compatible with the iPad mini.
