The integration enables restaurant owners to sync their Wix Restaurants with their Square account in an easy manner to simplify online ordering directly from the Wix platform to run operations more efficiently and increase revenue.
The announcement details that restaurant owners leveraging Square for Restaurants or Square Point of Sale (POS) can manage their catalogue, including categories, items, descriptions, images, and full menus straight from the Wix platform in an easy manner, which enables them to sell faster by having the efforts of inputting information into multiple systems reduced. Furthermore, updates and changes made on Square are synced to Wix automatically.
Additionally, orders that are placed through Wix van be sent to Square’s system directly. Per the press release, this enables restaurant owners with the ability to connect their Wix online ordering with their existing hardware to simplify their workflow and increase efficiency and helps remove the need for separate tablets.
What is more, sales reports are automatically consolidated from the two systems, giving restaurants visibility over their sales from their Wix website directly within their Square Dashboard.
Adam Garfield, VP of Wix Restaurants said that the company continues to open its platform and welcomes integrations that can assist business owners to succeed, as a multitude of restaurants faces operational challenges when leveraging multiple channels to orchestrate online and in-house orders, delivery services, the kitchen, amongst others.
As per their statement, the integration with Square provides a solution that aims to help restaurants save time that would’ve otherwise been spent on duplicative efforts from using multiple platforms, adding that they can now focus on providing service to more customers to generate increased revenue and grow their business.
Vijay Vachani, Global Head of Partners and Developers, Square advised that Wix’s expanded integration with Square provides restaurants with the combined power of two platforms, allowing them to synchronise their online ordering between the two to have time-consuming, manual tasks reduced, and their operations simplified.
