US-based payments technology company FreedomPay and investment bank JP Morgan have announced strengthening their partnership to support omnichannel solutions for retailers in the UK and Europe.

The Next Level Commerce platform from FreedomPay is expanding its commerce offering to the UK, EU, and Switzerland. The partners plan to deliver touchless commerce solutions, including contactless card payment, digital wallet acceptance, and PCI-validated Point to Point Encryption (P2PE) security. According to a FreedomPay representative, the companies aim to bring more in-store payment functionality to shoppers.

FreedomPay's platform offers retail brands the opportunity to create a contactless payment ecosystem, unify trade within a single ‘open’ platform, and centralise data reporting in a portal called Business Intelligence, which shows payments and reconciliation rates. A JP Morgan representative states that the collaboration will help provide an in-store payment option that builds on established eCommerce processing capabilities and streamlines dealers' operations to save time and money.
