US online shopping and bill payment services provider Billeo has launched PayDirect Assistant, an online service looking to add new features and functionality to banks online bill pay services.

The PayDirect Assistant feature allows bill pay customer to carry out expedited payments using their debit card or credit card. Billeos PayDirect Assistant thus aims to improve customer experience with their banks, as well as create new revenue streams for the financial institutions.

Banks that already offer an in-house bill pay solution can integrate with Billeo and the PayDirect Assistant will go live for customers. Banks that are currently using a third-party bill pay consolidator, can ask their service provider to integrate with Billeo to extend the value of the agreement.

In order for bank customers to leverage the new service, they must first of all sign-in at their banks website, then activate Billeos PayDirect Assistant. The latter brings them directly to the billers website to log in, saving credentials to enable easy log-in for future payments. Billeos PayDirect Assistant automatically fills the card details on the billers payment page and once the customer pays a bill, it saves a receipt on the banks website, creating a centralized record of payment history.
