With this partnership with Ria, a subsidiary of Euronet Worldwide, Xoom, PayPal`s international money transfer service, is increasing its presence in Eastern Europe and Africa. Thus, customers in the US can now send money to 70% of countries around the world by going online or using a mobile phone.
According to the general manager of Xoom, the partnership has helped them expand their services in the African diaspora and across Eastern Europe. Currently, Xoom offers service to over 130 countries globally, including many countries that have limited access to digital remittance services.
Earlier in 2018, Ria Money Transfer and HabibMetro Bank have collaborated to offer remittance payout services in Pakistan.
