Visa Issuer Processing Service (DPS) expands to Germany with the DKB

The Deutsche Kreditbank (DKB) is the first financial institution to introduce the service and handle the processing of Visa debit transactions. Visa DPS is a payment processor for Visa transactions worldwide, ensuring secure payments between merchants, merchant banks, and card-issuing banks. ​​With the Issuer Processing Service, banks can design their card payment processing individually both in transactions and in card management.

Using APIs, Visa partner banks can easily integrate DPS into their existing infrastructure. DPS supports digital cards including features such as instant digital card issuance, management of card and account details, and PCI-compliant APIs. In addition, Visa DPS can reduce fraud rates as well as processing service customisation costs due to API-based interactions and network compliance.

Visa DPS can be combined with other Visa APIs and solutions to further personalise the cardholder experience. This can be done, for example, with the Visa Account Updater, Visa Transaction Control, Visa Campaign Solutions, and the Visa Token Service. Consumers will be offered a debit card with features such as digital card management, setting up a limit, spending overview, card blocking, and selecting a PIN of their choice.
