Uber Eats launches 'Uber Eats Contactless Order Feature'

According to USA TODAY, the tool is called 'Uber Eats Contactless Order Feature' and it allows users to cover their bills via the app when they're at a restaurant to prevent unnecessary exchanges of heavily touched items such as credit cards, pens and bill holders.

Moreover, to benefit from the solution, customers must either scan a QR code at the establishment if they're dining in, or find the restaurant on the Uber Eats app for takeout. Afterwards, they are allowed to order and pay for their meal on the app. At the restaurant, the food will be brought to their table, while when ordering takeout, consumers can drop by to pick up their order at a later time.

Furthermore, the dine-in payment option will initially launch in Indianapolis, Boston, Chicago, Philadelphia, Vermont, Atlanta, New York City and Washington, DC, USA TODAY stated.
