Thredd has announced the signing of a landmark agreement in order to enable Visa Cloud Connect for customers and partners around the world.
Following this announcement, Visa Cloud Connect will allow organisations to access VisaNet, Visa’s secure and efficient global payments network, through the use of their own cloud-based infrastructure. In addition, by being purpose-built for cloud-native clients, Visa Cloud Connect is expected to deliver increased flexibility, faster time to market, and safe scalability across borders.
Under the agreement, Thredd is set to connect across three global Visa Cloud Connect endpoints, while also committing to a full global rollout. Once live, this process will eliminate the need for multiple regional integrations, giving clients the possibility to gain several new geographies and accelerating Thredd’s vision of a unified and protected global processing platform.
Strengthening global reach, scalability, and resilience for fintechs and banks across the globe
According to the official press release, the initiative reflects Thredd’s continued investment in cloud-first infrastructure and reinforces its role as a trusted technology in payments processing. At the same time, through the process of committing to Visa Cloud Connect globally, this initiative will enable clients to gain faster, more resilient access to Visa’s network, while also accelerating its strategy to deliver a single, cloud-first global platform. Whether launching new programmes or scaling across several markets, the companies will focus on providing clients with speed, reliability, and simplified expansion in order to meet their needs, preferences, and demands in an ever-evolving market. Both institutions will continue to prioritise the process of remaining compliant with the regulatory requirements and laws of the industry as well.
For Thredd, this agreement is expected to represent a significant step in accelerating its ongoing cloud development, while also supporting the company’s strategy to deliver clients agile, scalable, and future-ready infrastructure in payments. Moreover, this announcement is set to build on Thredd’s long-standing collaboration with Visa, reflecting a shared commitment to optimising cloud-based infrastructure in payments.
