The mobile payment method Bluecode has gained a new partner in Müller in Germany and Austria. Users of the drugstore's app in these countries will be able to register for ‘Müller Pay’. Additionally to paying at the cash register, customers can collect bonus points for the ‘Müller-Blossom’ customer programme and receive a digital receipt. Müller's digital customer card, which is managed by the startup ‘hello again’, was linked to the Bluecode process for this purpose. The customer pays with a barcode from the app, which is scanned at the checkout.
Payments via the Bluecode procedure are processed in the background via direct debits and, at partner banks, via direct account access. Bluecode now has a network of 300 partner banks in Germany and Austria. Registrations for ‘Müller Pay’ can be made at the partner banks using the normal online banking login. If the user does not have an account with a partner bank, a one-time two-factor authorisation is carried out for registration. The daily limit for transactions is EUR 400.
