Based on the information provided in the press release, the feature is set to enable Zimpler’s customer base to send EUR in an instant manner to all 20 Eurozone countries through SEPA (Single Euro Payments Area), with no hidden fees or complex administrative work being required.
SEPA was created to modernise and simplify euro-dominated electronic payments throughout Europe, making them increasingly safe, quick, and simple, and enabling businesses to avoid leveraging conventional methods of the likes of checks and wire transfers by sending payments directly to a recipient’s bank account. By providing an expanded geographical coverage, Zimpler aims to support a larger number of European merchants, with the solution set to be available for B2C and B2B clients alike.
Nicolas Köllerstedt, Chief Growth Officer at Zimpler advised that the company is looking forward to expanding its offerings and providing both existing and new clients with instant, safe, and cost-effective payouts that are compliant with anti-money laundering (AML) standards. The cross-border payouts launch is believed to mark a ‘significant milestone’ for the company, helping it establish a truly pan-European presence.
Per the spokesperson’s statement, the feature has multiple uses cases in segments that Zimpler operates in, like lending, salary payouts, or cashback, adding that is ‘exciting’ to see the company continue its expansion and building momentum from the B2B payments and Paylink product launch in 2022.
Adding on this, Joan Migioia, Internationalisation Manager at Zimpler said that Zimpler recognises that SEPA payout is an increasingly sought-after solution for businesses that operate in Europe as it provides a cost-effective, swift, and secure way to send payments. Furthermore, as it is standardised, businesses are enabled to leverage it to carry out payments in the same way across countries.
Additionally, the company official advised that Zimpler’s API-based solution lets companies integrate payout functionality within their software systems in a simplified manner, enabling swift and modernised processes of the likes of salary payments, reimbursements, and lending transactions.
Being an A2A payments provider that is currently looking to have its reach expanded into new markets and to gain new clients, the launch of instant cross-border payouts was amongst the company’s priorities, with representatives adding that they are looking forward to seeing how the addition will enable them to drive Zimpler forward.
The announcement further highlights that currently. Zimpler provides SEPA Payouts for merchants that are based in Austria, Germany, Denmark, Spain, Finland, France, Italy, Malta, The Netherlands, Portugal, Norway, Lithuania, Poland, Estonia, and Latvia.
