Ad-subsidised payments network (ASPN) Zilch has teamed up with Visa in a strategic multi-year partnership, aiming to advance its growth and roll out a physical card offering.

Through this agreement, Zilch is set to accelerate its expansion by introducing additional products and launching its first physical payments card offering, in turn capturing a wider customer base.

Zilch and Visa’s strategy

The collaboration with Visa supports Zilch in facilitating faster and more optimal payment experiences, which can assist the company’s long-term development strategy. The move is set to also continue to help grow customer-focused benefits, including more ad-enabled deals, discounts, and cashback opportunities.

With the new physical card, Zilch seeks to increase flexibility for its customers, especially for those who prefer the assurance a physical card provides. The offering provides the ability for Zilch to be leveraged for transactions such as home maintenance, hotel check-ins, or car rentals, in turn allowing the company to enter new expanding sectors. At the same time, the card is set to work across Visa’s global network that reaches approximately 150 million merchant locations in over 200 countries and territories, offering resilience and security to worldwide money movement. Customers will benefit from the ability to shop anywhere in the world where Visa is accepted, either online or offline, while continuing to earn rewards and use flexible repayment options.

Furthermore, according to the official press release, the card will be available to Zilch’s existing customers as of September 2025, function identically to the virtual card, and be available in different shades of the brand’s colour. Additionally, switching to Visa’s technology has already positively influenced how Zilch processes card transactions. The agreement between the two companies is set to support Zilch in further developing and delivering solutions that meet the needs, demands, and preferences of customers.

At the beginning of 2025, Zilch also rolled out Zilch Travel, a service designed to make booking and paying for holidays more convenient and rewarding. Supported by lastminute.com, the service enabled users to search, book, and pay for holidays, hotels, and flights directly through the Zilch app.
