Yandex, Alfa Bank launch online money transfer service

Wednesday 11 February 2009 14:48 CET | News

Russian search engine group Yandex has partnered with Alpha Bank to launch an online money transfer called Money: From A to Ya.

The service enables users to make money transfers between their Alpha-Click online banking account and the Yandex.Money e-wallet account. Neither user’s personal information, nor account details are transmitted over the internet. Transferring funds from an Alfa Bank account to a Yandex.Money account is free of charge, but moving e-money to the bank account is charged with 2 percent of the transaction amount.

The funds transferred to Alfa Bank account may be used for offline payments, credit repayments, bank transfers, or for generating interest on the balance.
