Monday 14 January 2019 14:22 CET | News

Worldline has launched YUMI, a payment device that brings together physical and online commerce and is customisable to the retailer’s brand.

The device has the ability to rotate 360°, thus it always faces customers, providing an omnichannel point of interaction designed intuitively. Moreover, Worldline’s latest payment innovation is an Android operating system and it supports apps that further streamline the customer experience.

YUMI meets the latest hardware and software security requirements, it is PCI PTS 5.x certified and it complies with SRED and Open Protocol modules. In addition, the device has a set of smart features on board to support visually impaired customers, including alternative solutions for PIN entry.

Worldline’s device can be integrated with local POS systems or it can be used as a standalone terminal. It is available in two configurations, as a countertop or as a portable terminal, with a range of communications options. YUMI will be available as of late summer 2019.
