Wincor Nixdorf Hungary expands its offering of self-service solution to banks

Wincor Nixdorf Hungary is adding retail banking self-service and automation solutions to its offering.

In recent years the Hungarian subsidiary of the Wincor Nixdorf Group, which has made its way to the Number 3 slot in self-service solutions to both banks and retailers, has been able to achieve above-average rates of growth in its retail business. Sales of banking solutions, which were previously conducted via a partner, are now to be brought in-house and stepped up. The offering to banks aims to optimize existing processes within branch environments from a point of view of cost and service to banking customers. One of the marketing emphases Wincor Nixdorf is concentrating on in Hungary is the introduction of cash recycling systems. These cash deposit and withdrawal systems allow deposited cash to be made available for withdrawal again after undergoing a counterfeit check. Last May, Wincor Nixdorf was the first manufacturer to be awarded the necessary approvals for this technology across the entire euro-zone by the German Bundesbank, acting on behalf of the European Central Bank. Manpower-intensive replenishment procedures can be avoided using these systems (ProCash 3100), meaning the bank secures the potential of cost reductions and efficiency gains.
