Through this multi-year partnership, Visa is set to become the Official Payment Partner of Disneyland Paris, as well as the Disney Store, and Disney Theatrical Group in the EMEA region. Additionally, Visa aims to explore more opportunities with other Disney businesses, supporting the company in augmenting the experience for its customers. The initiative in the EMEA region comes after a successful relationship between Visa and Disney in the US.
The collaboration with Visa comes after, back in September 2022, Disney looked into launching a membership programme to link its products and services. The programme was set to be similar to Amazon Prime, with it being set to deliver various discounts and perks to encourage customers to spend more time on its streaming services, theme parks, resorts, and merchandise. At the time of the announcement, discussions regarding the project were still in the early stages. However, its introduction would encourage customers to spend more on the company’s products and services while offering Disney some information about their shopping preferences.
With this alliance, Visa intends to provide its customers in the EMEA region with additional opportunities, including unique benefits and offers across Disney’s products and services. Among them, the two companies mentioned different offers on merchandise, access to pre-sales and priority bookings, and invitations to personalised events and experiences. Also, a select number of Visa cardholders are set to gain access to Animagique Theater and ‘Stitch Live!’ at Disneyland Paris. Visa and Disney plan to announce more cardholder benefits as part of Disney Theatrical Group and Disney Store in the upcoming period.
Furthermore, Visa is set to collaborate with Disney on delivering its expertise in integrating digital payment solutions in Disney platforms and applications. This initiative merges Visa’s roster of sports sponsorships and partnerships with Disney’s features to further support optimised experiences for clients and cardholders.
