USD 280 mln funding round completed by Robinhood

Fintech startup Robinhood has revealed the completion of its Series F funding round, raising some USD 280 million in fresh capital.

The funding round was led by existing investor Sequoia Capital, in partnership with both existing and new investors, including 9Yards Capital, Unusual Ventures, NEA and Ribbit Capital, coming in at a valuation of USD 8.3 billion.

The new funding will be used ‘to invest in scaling’ Robinhood’s platform, to build new products, and accelerate build-out of their operations.
