The order for Precise Biometrics combined fingerprint and smart card readers was received in cooperation with one of the companys partners, as part of a project with the aim to replace PIN codes with fingerprint authentication within the US government agency. The combined fingerprint and smart card readers are optimized for Precise Biometrics Precise Match-on-Card(TM) technology, which makes it possible to store and match fingerprints directly on a smart card, instead of in a less secure environment such as a computer. The combined fingerprint and smart card readers from Precise Biometrics will be delivered within this quarter.
