The combined fingerprint and smart card readers are optimized for Precise Biometrics Precise Match-on-Card technology, which makes it possible to store and match fingerprints directly on a smart card, instead of in a less secure environment such as a computer. The use of smart identification devices are proving to be a vital link in the chain of trust for both commercial organizations and government agencies. When combined with biometrics, smart cards offer great advantages for both physical and logical security. The combined fingerprint and smart card readers from Precise Biometrics were delivered within the third quarter.
