Triversity has adopted ICEsofts ICEbrowser as its primary HTML rendering engine for Transactionware Enterprise.Transactionware Enterprise is the most cost-effective, easily deployed J2EE solution available today for point of sales (POS) and point-of-interaction applications in the retail enterprise. Transactionware Enterprise is the first and only Java POS solution designed from the ground up to harness the power of J2EE. Its highly scalable, open architecture allows retailers to deploy solutions ranging from true thin-client to thick-client systems, up to massively scalable enterprise server environments that handle billions of transactions per year. Both ICEbrowser and Triversity Enterprise Framework fully integrate with IBMs J2EE infrastructure - WebSphere Application Server 5, WebSphere MQ and DB2 Universal Database. As a result, within Transactionware Enterprise, ICEbrowser is used to render all the IBM software applications that span the retail enterprise - from head office to store servers to the full range of customer touch points, including POS systems, kiosks, and the Internet. Triversity reviewed all the leading rendering solutions before deciding to standardize on ICEbrowser. The selection criteria included high availability and performance suitable for a mission-critical environment, a short learning curve for developers, rapid application deployment and integration and open standards to maximize business flexibility.
