Time is Fast Running Out Moving to BASCSTEL-iP

Tuesday 20 April 2004 09:42 CET | News

The deadline for companies to move to BASCSTEL-iP is December 2005, after this date all support for traditional dial-up software will cease. BACSTEL-iP is a completely new way of accessing the BACS Payment Schemes payment services.

It is based on internet protocols and uses the latest PKI technologies for heightened level of security. These technologies have been developing and have reached the stage where they are reliable and cost-effective for everyone involved in the payment process. DbBACS-iP from Version One embraces these proven technologies and fully utilises state of the art security methods. Following implementation, companies will benefit from being able to monitor the status of payments, receive reports and maintain their own records - all online. Whilst the deadline for companies to move to BACSTEL-iP is December 2005, however, because of the increased functionality and additional benefits offered by the new BACSTEL-iP service, it makes sound business sense to migrate to DbBACS-iP as soon as possible.
