Tidel Technologies has begun production on the model 3700, its first through-the-wall automated teller machine (ATM).

The new model is designed for financial institutions and retailers that wish to provide twenty-four hour customer access to ATM banking, and is available in walk-up or drive-up configurations. The model 3700 is a fully weatherized platform with standard features including a high capacity rear load dispenser, a stainless steel surround, a 10.4-inch color LCD display, metalized keypad, multi-position rear maintenance touchscreen control, and both TCP/IP and dial-up communications. Upgrade options include dispenser configurations up to four cassettes, UL 291 level one vaults, and high-brightness LCD displays. Based on Tidels model 3600 system architecture, the model 3700 runs the Microsoft® Windows CE operating system on an embedded PC using Intels XScale 32-bit processor. This additional processing capacity allows for the future development of new financial applications on Microsofts universally adopted software platform.
