Standard Chartered Bank Selects CR2

Wednesday 22 September 2004 00:45 CET | News

Standard Chartered Bank has selected CR2s BankWorld solution to manage their ATMs throughout India. This follows a comprehensive evaluation of 5 alternative suppliers.

Standard Chartered Bank India has been a CR2 client for over 10 years, providing ATM and international Visa debit card services to over 700,000 customers across India. The implementation of BankWorld ATM will enable the bank to deliver significantly improved services to its customers over its ATM network. BankWorld web-enables the ATM channel allowing companies to offer additional services and brand each ATM. This makes the experience more user friendly as the ATM is eye-catching and has extensive multimedia capabilities. Greater flexibility is provided through remote software distribution facilities and the ability to target specific ATMs or groups of ATMs for remote update of services and screens. The ATM application intelligently determines when and how to apply software or screen changes in order to have minimal impact on the end user. BankWorld uses open technology to maximise service uptime through elimination of scheduled system downtime and through enhanced operator notification. It also provides more detailed statistical information to allow Standard Chartered Bank to effectively implement its ATM strategy.
