Spoko.app to expand in Africa and Asia

Monday 26 July 2021 11:26 CET | News

Spoko.app, operating on the money transfer market, has announced it is focusing on expanding in African and Asian countries.

The technology company already offers services in Nigeria, Ghana, Senegal, and Cameroon, among others, and intends to strengthen its position in countries such as India, Cote d'Ivoire, Indonesia, Malaysia, Vietnam, and Pakistan.

According to the official press release, the greatest challenge for the African market today is the need to reduce transfer costs. According to the World Bank, the average commission for a transfer of USD 200 is around 9% with the global average of approximatively 7%. Spoko.app is trying to change this by offering commission-free transfers.

With regards to South Asia, Spoko.app intends to offer its services in the near future in Indonesia, Malaysia, Vietnam, Pakistan, and Bangladesh.
