Samba Selects Level Four ATM Channel Suite

Monday 17 May 2004 06:48 CET | News

Samba Financial Group (SAMBA), the largest publicly traded bank in The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, is the first client to licence all components within the Level Four ATM Channel Development Suite.

Level Fours tools, notably EMV FastTrack, will help SAMBA migrate its multi-vendor ATM network to EMV standards on the local Saudi Payments Network, SPAN2. Level Fours Network Stress Tester module will also ensure thorough testing of the banks migration to EMV. SAMBA is at the forefront of Saudi Arabian banks implementing advanced technology to serve its customers. For example, SAMBA was the first to offer cash deposit and bill payment through ATMs. SAMBA has selected Level Fours toolset to uphold its status as the most technology advanced bank in Saudi Arabia. Using the ATM Channel Development Suite, SAMBA can customise ATM screens, rapidly develop new ATM applications and undertake end-to-end testing of its multi-vendor ATM network. Level Fours automated tools eliminate reliance on manual testing, which results in faster and more thorough testing processes. Level Fours EMV FastTrack component will assist in the migration of SAMBAs ATM network to comply with the EMV smart card standard. The tool enables the creation of EMV compatible ATM downloads and full end-to-end transaction testing directly from the chip card, through the ATM and up to the host system. SAMBA has also licensed Level Fours Network Stress Tester module to realistically simulate the stress of its ATM network usage. With high volumes of ATM transactions across its network of over 250 ATMs, and the increasing complexities introduced by EMV, a high standard of quality assurance is required from the testing environment. ATM Network Stress Tester assures that SAMBAs ATM network can cope with peaks in transaction volumes resulting in a high level of customer service quality. Level Four will help SAMBA comply with SPAN2 and cope with increased ATM usage by offering swift and centralised uploading of new functionality to the ATM network. SAMBAs customers will be the first to benefit from enhanced ATM features and service as the bank leads the pack of Saudi Arabian banks in compliance with SPAN2.
