Belgium-based insurtech Qover has partnered with UK-based credit card fintech Yonder to improve travel insurance experiences for members.
Yonder, known for its lifestyle credit card featuring a distinctive rewards program, is looking to enhance its insurance offerings through this venture with Qover. The collaboration ensures that customers using their Yonder cards for travel and accommodation expenses can gain access to comprehensive insurance coverage. This coverage includes protection for various travel-related contingencies such as delayed departures or cancellations, family coverage, winter sports, lost or stolen baggage, and personal liability.
The insurance, underwritten by Lloyd’s of London, becomes effective upon enrollment in Yonder’s full membership. Qover worked closely with Yonder to create a customised insurance solution, aligning with Yonder's goals to deliver improved experiences to its users. As a result, users can access insurance details, generate instant travel certificates, and monitor claims status directly from the Yonder app. Push notifications from the app keep users updated on any changes in claim status, ensuring a seamless experience.
In the official press release, representatives from Yonder expressed optimism about the partnership, emphasising its potential to reshape credit experiences for the next generation. They also highlighted how integrating Qover's embedded insurance solutions enables Yonder to offer more benefits to its full membership customers.
Representatives from Qover viewed the collaboration as a validation of their mission to establish a global safety net by leveraging insurance solutions. They noted that working with Yonder not only strengthens Qover's position in the fintech and financial services sector but also contributes to shaping global narratives around financial resilience.
