ProCash 3100xe confirms Wincor Nixdorf as market leader and foremost innovator in cash recycling sys

Wincor Nixdorf has launched ProCash 3100xe, a further improved development of its cash recycling systems whose key benefits are better performance and higher availability.

As the pioneer and market leader in cash recycling, Wincor Nixdorf has already sold over 5,000 of these systems to banks worldwide. In Spring 2003, Wincor Nixdorf was the first manufacturer to obtain official approval for its system, enabling it to be used to its full extent across the entire euro-zone. Cash recycling systems enable deposited cash to be made available for withdrawals after undergoing a counterfeit test, thereby reducing costly, manpower-intensive replenishment activity to a minimum. The ProCash 3100xe (extended edition) has been developed as a product evolution, with no changes to its exterior looks. Core components are the banknote (bill) checker, which has undergone technical improvements, and the new deposit cash tray technology allowing larger bundles of notes/bills to be inserted. The ProCash 3100xe closes the cash cycle within self-service banking, with the customer now able to conduct all cash transactions in the self-service foyer - not just note/bill deposits and withdrawals, but coins as well. The all-round cash transaction solution is available in a variety of configurations as a withdrawals machine, a deposit machine, a combined deposit/withdrawals machine or as a deposit/withdrawals unit with a closed-loop cash cycle. The customer experiences a considerable benefit over the use of the night-safe for deposits: he or she gets fast feedback on the value of the deposit, and the amount is credited without delay to the customers bank account. Within the bank, the system relieves the workload of advisory staff - no more need for manpower-intensive checking of cash by two individuals. The notes are counterfeit-checked and can be made available within the system for withdrawals, thus reducing time-consuming, costly replenishment and emptying procedures to a minimum, resulting in faster payback of funds invested in this self-service solution. With immediate effect, Wincor Nixdorf is now also offering a coin-roll withdrawal module for its ProCash 3100xe cash recycling system. This enhancement to the Companys self-service offering allows business customers to obtain coinage outside opening hours also. Compared with the traditional separate change machines in bank branches, the ability to withdraw rolled coins via the SST also provides a key benefit to banks. The is no longer any requirement to dispose of deposited banknotes, and the bank saves a significant amount of space, as there is no need to have a separate installed machine to handle coin withdrawals. Even in its entry-level configuration, the ProCash 3100xe comes complete with a metal detection unit, further enhancing 24-hour availability. As a matter of course, all models come complete with energy-saving LCD flat-screens. Using new-generation card readers certified to EMV 2000, the xe-series offers the latest security technology and, as a result, extensive investment protection when it comes to card processing. The ProCash 3100s system architecture is geared towards future security requirements such as remote key loading (RKL). The system is also excellently prepared for use in conjunction with Wincor Nixdorfs ProClassic software architecture and, with the ProCash/FOnet teller desk solution, also supports the concept of staff-assisted self-service.
