Due to PCI PIN requirements, the public cloud cannot directly support physical Payments HSMs which has forced banks and payment processers to procure, operate, and manage these payment security components in-house. This required investment in hardware, secure facilities, and is a drain on skilled resources.
By using the Thales PayShield 10K’s to execute a full cloud deployment, MYHSM can now eliminate the need for a physical Payment HSM infrastructure. According to the official press release, for companies, this can result in reduced capex costs, accelerated time to market, reduced PCI scope, and increased resilience and scalability.
