Wednesday 16 June 2004 08:06 CET | News

TowerGroup finds that online bill payment is fast becoming a mainstream consumer practice, with at least one-third of US households expected to pay bills via the Internet in 2004.

Simultaneously, the emerging practices of electronic bill and invoice presentment are becoming increasingly common on the corporate front. But despite positive developments, many businesses remain uncertain about moving to electronic bill presentment and payment (EBPP) or electronic invoicing and payment (EIP) - as well as how to effectively transition their customers and trading partners to these methods. In TowerGroups new research report titled, Hindsight is 20/20: Lessons Billers Have Learned - TowerGroup 2004 Biller Survey on EBPP and EIP, TowerGroup reviews the results of its EBPP and EIP survey that assesses billers practices and their impact on the evolution of the electronic billing and invoice markets. The research also provides an analysis on market trends and evaluates the specific practices of leading biller organizations, examining important metrics and performance guideposts.
