NexTran Announces Availability of ATM Premise Security Camera

Thursday 11 December 2003 19:17 CET | News

As the Holiday Season approaches and the number of consumers using ATMs increases, NexTran Industries, Inc. today unveiled its ComNet ATM security camera, designed to increase consumer safety in the vicinity of ATMs.

The camera, which can be added to any of the companys ComNet 1000 or 4000 ATM models, provides a crisp, digital color photograph of the ATM user and the vicinity in front of the ATM. The use of the ComNet security camera is made possible because of the ComNet ATMs PC-based operating system, explained Park. With an image of the person who performed the disputed transaction linked to the transaction record, it is easier to investigate chargebacks, he explained. The ComNet security camera is offered to owners of ComNet ATMs for $250. Park said that the device may be added to ComNet 2000 and 3000 models if demand warrants. A product sheet and photos of a camera-equipped ATM and a photo-journal entry are available to the media by request.
