NCR Launches New In-Lobby Cash Deposit ATM

The Personas M Series 74 is a cash deposit ATM with a compact footprint, making it ideal for placement in branches where space is at a premium or in locations with restrictive service areas. A new member of NCRs Personas M Series family, this ATM has the modular flexibility to enable banks to easily introduce advanced ATM functions while protecting future investment. The Personas M Series 74 delivers maximum scalability with a choice of configuration options and easy upgrades, including cash deposit and cash recycling. These can be coupled with bill payment, bankbook update and/or statement printing. Recycling cash that has already been deposited into the ATM allows banks to lower the total cost of ownership by extending replenishment cycles and reducing balancing, reconciliation and overall cash management costs. The Personas M Series 74 delivers leading-edge technology that includes mixed bunch note acceptance with validation of up to 200 notes per transaction and up to 64 note denominations per template. It also supports multi-currency deposits and remote download of currency templates. Up to 9,200 notes can be stored in the cassette-based note storage system. Design has played a key role in the development of NCRs Personas M Series range of ATMs. NCR gathered research and feedback from customers and consumers worldwide to deliver a solution that is accessible with all points of interaction readily visible and easy to use by all users, including wheelchair and tall user groups. The compact user interface minimizes hand and eye movements which, together with the new customer privacy panels, enhance transaction privacy. The Personas M Series 74 offers market-leading personal identification number (PIN) security, with support for triple data encryption standards (DES) and remote key management. Other enhanced security features and countermeasures to fraud include the unique design of the illuminated card reader surround, smart dip card reader and integrated magnetic card reader/writer (IMCRW) card reader. Optional countermeasures include enhanced card drive (or Jitter) and card return when power failure occurs. Fluiditi ink staining is also available for enhanced physical security.
