NCR Corporation and Excentus Corporation partner to Offer Integrated Fuel Control

Wednesday 9 February 2005 11:34 CET | News

NCR Corporation and Excentus Corporation, formerly CCISTech, are to market a fully integrated fuel package as an additional feature option for NCR Advanced Checkout Solution (ACS) software suite.

Reward Fuel Controller(TM) from Excentus allows ACS users to treat fuel center sales just as they would any other product in their stores. The integrated fuel package enables retailers to use a single point-of-sale (POS) terminal to ring up in-store item sales, monitor fuel pump activity and automatically add fuel purchases to in-store transactions. By integrating the same cashier interface for the supermarket and the fuel center, cashiers can work in either location with little additional training. The ACS integrated fuel package offers NCR grocery and fuel customers greater flexibility and expanded options, said NCR Retail Software Vice President Greg Egan. For example, any changes made to store information, or even software enhancements, are immediately reflected in the store and the fuel center, reducing solution support costs while increasing speed of delivery. The interface also enables marketing opportunities to cross-promote in-store merchandise with gasoline. Food industry executives attending the Food Marketing Institutes Marketechnics conference, Feb. 13-15 in Washington, D.C., can see a demonstration of the NCR-Excentus solution in the NCR booth, no. 200.
