MoneyGram launches money transfer service in Liechtenstein

Global money transfer company MoneyGram has launched its transfer service in Liechtenstein, expanding the company’s country network to 198.

MoneyGram’s service is provided through Valora, the company’s agent based in Switzerland. Customers in Switzerland are now able to transfer money through Valora’s network of locations using MoneyGram International.

Valora has approximately 1000 k kiosk and press & books shops in Switzerland. The company has been a MoneyGram agent since 2010 in Switzerland.

MoneyGram’s initial service in Liechtenstein provides consumers with the ability to send money to friends and family from its Valora location in Schaan. Furthermore, additional locations and service options, including the possibility to receive remittances internationally, are planned for later in 2013.

In recent news, MoneyGram and South African financial services provider First National Bank (FNB) have launched a mobile money transfer service in Africa, enabling FNB account holders to send and receive international money transfers using their mobile devices.
