Wednesday 9 March 2005 17:13 CET | News

MDI Security Systems, has received NIST (National Institute of Standards and Technology) and CSE (Communications Security Establishment) Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) Algorithm Validation Certification.

The companys SAFEnet Enterprise Security Suite is the industrys only, true integrated security management solution for access control, alarm management, video management and systems control. The Advanced Encryption Standard certification allows MDI certified dealers to install enterprise systems for Federal departments and agencies when an agency determines that sensitive (unclassified) information requires cryptographic protection. This standard is also used by non-Federal Government organizations when it provides the desired security for commercial and private organizations. AES Encryption will replace the aging Data Encryption Standard, which NIST adopted in 1977 as a Federal Information Processing Standard used by federal agencies to protect highly sensitive, unclassified information. SAFEnet provides a centralized, open infrastructure, vendor neutral solution required to adequately secure an organization from a single point-and-click desktop application. This integrated security dashboard empowers distributed enterprise or small to medium size businesses to successfully manage the overwhelming volume of security events by consistently reducing response time, while creating a security infrastructure that supports strategic business objectives. MDI continues its industry leadership in acquiring the highest level of certifications, security standards and approvals from organizations such as UL, FCC and CE. The company currently has several certifications pending for their iTRUST integrated security management solution for small to medium size organizations and ViewPoint video surveillance product line.
